We are learning about explorers and adventures, as you will see if you come in to our lovely class room. We have already learnt about some of the early explorers thanks to Dylan! We don’t know about many adventurers yet but if you can bring in some infomation about them please come and tell us.

At the moment we are thinking about how Christofer Columbus’ life took place and heres what we found out: Christofer Columbus is famous for his huge voyage in 1942,when he discovered America while he was looking for a way to sail to Asia. He was born in Genoa, Italy, in 1451. Actully his real name was… Christoforo Columbo and his wife was a portuguese women called Felipa Perestrello e Moniz. They only had one son called Diego.

He went several times to The New World, first going in 1492. His second voyage was from 1493 – 1496, although this time he took 17 ships and 1,200 sailers.
